More Info on Jim Henson Rare Vintage Signed Letter on Muppets Stationary (c.1963)

Jim Henson was an iconic American puppeteer best known as the creator of The Muppets. As a puppeteer, Henson performed in various television programs, such as “Sesame Street” and “The Muppet Show,” films such as “The Muppet Movie” and “The Great Muppet Caper,” and creator of advanced puppets for projects like “Fraggle Rock,” “The Dark Crystal,” and “Labyrinth.” He was also an Oscar-nominated film director, Emmy Award-winning television producer, and the founder of The Jim Henson Company, the Jim Henson Foundation, and Jim Henson's Creature Shop. He died unexpectedly of a rare bacterial infection on May 16, 1990, at only 53 years old.
Offered here is a rare vintage typed signed letter, one page, 8.5” x 11,” Muppets, Inc., 303 East 53rd Street, New York letterhead, dated August 13, 1963. In part: 'Many thanks for your very nice letter and for letting us see the extremely clever painting of Taminella Grinderfall. My partners and I really got a great kick out of the painting, and even Tammy blushed and smiled at your flattering portrait of her. It is our pleasure to autograph it and return it to you.' It is in fine condition. Letter from Henson on Muppets stationary—in particular of this vintage—are extremely rare. Handsomely matted along with an image of Henson posed with his beloved Muppets and housed in an attractive black lacquer finish frame. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from industry leading Third-Party Autograph Authentication firm PSA/DNA.
